The fabric used is 100% organic cotton "bioRe COTTON" born from the bioRe PROJECT developed in India and Tanzania.
In the bioRe PROJECT, we carry out socially fair manufacturing while reducing the burden on the environment in all processes from cultivation to final products. In addition, these processes are rigorously inspected and certified by an independent third-party certification body.
インドとタンザニアで展開されているbioRe PROJECTから生まれたオーガニックコットン「bioRe COTTON」を100%使用した生地を採用しています。
bioRe PROJECTでは、栽培から最終製品に至るまでのすべての工程において、環境への負荷を抑えながら社会的に公正なモノづくりを行っています。また、それらの工程は独立した第三者認証機関による厳しい検査を受け認証されています。

Kyoto's Black Dyeing
The black dye, which was established about 300 years ago, was originally worn with black crests and was loved by samurai in the Edo period for self-defense and everyday wear.
Since the Meiji era, it has been worn by women in mourning clothes and national ceremonial clothes. It has now changed its shape, and black dye has been applied to clothes redyeing, re-dyeing, animation goods, and so on, and has been continuously evolving and handed down to date.
We had Ms.Maki Banba, the fifth-generation black-dying artist of Hiiragiyashinshichi, dyed.
約300年前に確立された黒染は元々、黒紋付に施され江戸時代の武士の間で護身用や日常着として愛用されていました。
明治以降は女性の喪服や国民の礼服に施され、現在では形を変え、洋服の染め直しや染め替え、アニメのグッズなどにも黒染が施されるようになり、時代に合わせ進化・伝承され続けています。
柊屋新七 5代目黒染師である馬場麻紀さんに、1点1点染めていただいています。
Kyoto's black dyeing is a traditional technique that has continued since the Meiji era, but there are currently only 2-3 workshops in Kyoto, and the number of craftsmen is extremely small. It is no exaggeration to say that traditional Japanese culture is disappearing.
In order to continue to pass down traditional techniques, I would like more people to take advantage of the culture of black dyeing.
We use dyes with low environmental impact that meet the strict standards of major department stores.
Kyoguro dyeing is a sustainable and durable dyeing method that can be worn for a long time without worrying about yellowing or discoloration.
京都の黒染めは明治から続く伝統技術でありながら、現在は京都に2〜3工房しかなく、職人さんも極少数です。無くなりつつある日本の伝統文化と言っても過言ではありません。
伝統技術を継承し続けるためにも、より多くの人に黒染めという文化を知っていただきたいと思っています。
染料は大手百貨店の厳しい基準をクリアした環境負荷の低い染料を使用しています。
京黒染めは高い堅牢度で色落ちしづらく、黄ばみや変色などを気にせず長く着られる為、サスティナブル（持続可能）な染色方法です。

We are introducing sustainable and compostable packaging instead of traditional plastic bags.
In addition, the wrapping paper uses non-fluorescent white thin paper and is wrapped in a natural paper string made mainly from plants of the palm family. Completely plastic-free packaging contributes to efforts to reduce CO2 emissions.
従来のプラスチック袋に替わる、サスティナブル(持続可能)でコンポスタブル(堆肥可能)な梱包材を導入しています。
また包装紙は無蛍光白の薄紙を使用し、ヤシ科の植物を主原料とした天然素材の紙紐で包みました。完全プラスチックフリーな包装により、CO2の排出量を減らす取り組みに貢献します。
